Receiving and sending electronic invoices (e-invoices) is gradually becoming mandatory for companies. From 1 January 2025, companies whose customers are also companies (i.e. customers from the ‘business to business’ sector, not B2C) must introduce the electronic receipt of invoices. From 1 January 2027, the sending of e-invoices will also become mandatory for companies with an annual turnover of 800,000 euros. From 2028, sending B2B invoices will be mandatory for all companies.
